Joe Edward Luna Sr., 76, of Oklahoma City left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on November 27, 2006. He was born April 23, 1930 in Olney, OK to John Henry and Sallie Mae Luna. Joe was the youngest of six children. He moved with his family to Tulsa in 1943 and graduated from Central High School in 1949. Joe served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon returning from Korea, he married his high school sweetheart Lucille Ann Roberts of Tulsa on July 23, 1955. Joe and Ann recently celebrated 51 wonderful years together. Joe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He took much joy in providing service to others and being an example of all that was good and kind. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ann Luna; his five daughters and one son. His children include Vicki Bushey and husband Dean of OKC; daughter Cheri Massey of OKC; daughter Debbie Luna of OKC; son Joe Luna Jr. and wife Becky of Texas; daughter Terri Bell and husband Carroll of OKC; and daughter Sharon Hilburn and husband Randall of OKC. Joe is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 2:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints located at 2440 SW 55th St.
