Rachel Lee Church Triplett, age 90 of 7489 US Hwy 21S, Glade Valley, NC, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, NC. She was born in Wilkes County March 20, 1922 to the late Will and Harriett Baker Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Triplett; two brothers, Theodore and Jack Church; three sisters, Claudine Adams, Agnes Triplett and Helen Reynolds. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia "Cindy" Seifer of Raleigh, Jane Bullock and husband Mike of Glade Valley; three grandchildren, Jeff Dix and wife Sarah of Simpsonville, SC, Farrah Bullock Mann and husband Shannon of Fuquay-Varina; Marlo Broyles and husband James of Leland; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Broyles and Peyton Broyles of Leland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Grandview Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Because of her love for flowers and gardening, flowers are appreciated or memorials to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Carolina Chapter, 3101 Industrial Drive Suite 210, Raleigh, NC 27609 or Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to extend special thanks to Marcelene Douglas, Bruce and Ruth Ellen Wood, Nita and Michael Royal, Alleghany Memorial Hospital nursing staff and in particular her "Angel", Dr. Jose Arocha and staff and Mountain Valley Hospice.
