English Royalty. Youngest son of King George V. and Queen Mary. His full name was John Charles Francis Windsor. When Prince John was four he developed epilepsy, which became more acute with each passing year. He also suffered from autistic-like learning difficulties. In 1916 his seizures became so severe and frequent that it was decided he would be moved to Wood Farm at Wolferton, Norfolk with his nanny Charlotte "Lala" Bill for his own privacy and health. His grandmother Queen Alexandra maintained a garden at Sandringham House for him which quickly became his greatest pleasure. His mother Queen Mary often visited him there and spent much time with him. His siblings visited until his seizures became too distressing for them. For companionship, Queen Mary invited local children to Wood Farm for playdates and he became close to the niece of those in charge of Sandringham's royal stables. Prince John died in his sleep at 5:30pm on 18 January 1919 following a severe seizure. His parents immediately left for Wood Farm when the news of his death reached them. He was buried at St. Mary Magdalene Churchyard in Sandringham three days later.
