Funeral services for Billy Gray, age 86 of Bernice, were held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2014 at Abundant Life Holiness church of Bernice. Rev. Michael Brandon will officiate the service. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery in Bernice under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Gray was born December 8, 1927 in Bernice to Frankie and Robert Gray. He died at his home in Bernice March 1, 2014. Mr. Gray was a charter member of Abundant Life Holiness Church. He was also a member of the Pipeliners Union 798 for 50 years.
Mr. Gray is survived by his children: Billy Gray and wife Kathy of Homer, LA; Larry Gray and wife Brenda of Gladewater, TX; Elaine and husband Denny Medlin of East Mountain, TX; Beth Jones of Bernice, LA.; grandkids: Martha, Margaret, Elizabeth, Trent, Larry Jr., Billy, B.J., ; great grandkids: Stephanie Lowery, Royce Gray, Mathew Gray, Audrey Medlin, Ashley Smith, Chase Smith, Steven Jones, and Sarah Faulk; sisters: Virginia White of Ruston, LA; Margaret Richardson of Ruston, LA; as well as his nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife: Martha Bailey Gray; daughter: Kathleen; his parents; and his brother: Robert Lawrence Gray
