The beloved wife of the late Charles who preceded her in death in 1987, she is survived by her loving family including her sons Peter (Daphne) of Ann Arbor, MI, and Sam (Melissa) and their children Caleb, Laura, Ashleigh, Morgan, Jackson and Tucker who are serving with the Word of Life ministries in the Czech Republic, her daughter Peggy (the late David) Brill of McHenry, IL and their son Charlie. She is also the dear sister of Ruth Borton of Dublin, Ohio.
Growing up in Orrville, Ohio, Eleanor graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL in 1938 and helped found the Oak Hills Fellowship in Bemidji, MN and was a missionary in the woods of northern Minnesota from 1939 to 1946. In 1955, she moved to Wauconda where she made her home.
