Donna L. Bonsant - age 66, of Capitol Street, died February 24, 2014 at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Graybirch Drive after a brief illness. She was born in Augusta, Maine on January 10, 1948 the daughter of Gerard J. Bonsant and Albertine (Gagnon) Bonsant.
Donna graduated from Cony High School of Augusta in 1966.
She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Augusta as a tax examiner for 20 years. She was previously employed by the MASH team (Drs. Melindy, Aslam, Shaw, and Halperin) for nine years. Before that, she worked as a head teller at Bank of Maine for eight years and she worked at the University of Maine at Augusta for three years.
Donna was a member of St. Michael Parish at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving is a brother, Gary Bonsant and his wife Susan of Augusta and a nephew Matt Bonsant of Augusta.
At her request, there will be no public visiting hours and no public funeral service. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
