Ernst William Gottlieb Kreft, Marriageable son of the deceased Ernest Henry Kreft of Mirbek and his deceased wife, Karoline Philippine Kraemer of Lebesen Kirchspiel OebernKirchen at Luecksburg, principality Schaumburg Lippe and Miss Caroline Louise Krietemeier, marriagable daughter of Mr. Ernst Krietemeier and his deceased wife, Louise nee Schwarzen from Bergkirchen of the Minden Region, were married October 30, 1862 at 11 a.m. The Banns were announced three times: the 17th, 18th, and 19th Sunday after Trinity. Recorded after some time.
(note: in the Washington County courthouse the date was given as married October 30, 1861 however it was recorded and sworn to as October 30, 1862)
During this period the state of Illinois was in a transition period as they were changing to marriage license so they had the option of reading the announcement three Sundays.
