Royce L. King (1940-2011)


Royce L. King, 70, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
Born Oct. 3, 1940, in Anderson, Ala., to Flora (Griffin) and Edward King, he married Judith E. Tate Nov. 8, 1958, in Cleveland.
Mr. King was a machinist at Lincoln Electric.
He was a member of the Free Masons, Willoughby Lodge and Allegro Boarderliners. He also was a past member of city council and the fire department in Grand River.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to DaVita Dialysis in Madison for their special care.
Survivors are his wife, Judith E. King of Madison; daughter, Rhonda King of Painesville; son, Chris (Beth) King of Clarkston, Mich.; grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel King of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother, Travis (Carol) King of West Middlesex, Pa.; and honorary daughter, Barb Walsh of Painesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River St., Madison. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m.
