J.R. Sellers of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Mount Pleasant at the age of 68 years. He was born James Rex Sellers on December 3, 1945 in Mount Pleasant, Texas the son of Thomas Hugh and Dorothy P. (Lunsford) Sellers Leake.
J.R. is a graduate of Mt. Pleasant, Texas high school class of 1964 and attended Kilgore College until enlisting in the United States Air Force, serving his country during Vietnam.
He retired from L-3.

He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, R.L. Leake; brothers, Jerry and Perry Sellers; and a bother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Dougherty.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Farmers Academy Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
