CHANDLER FLOYD "CHAS" WARD, 91, 315 W. Ash, died Saturday, April 11, 1987, in Duncan after a long illness.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Stough officiating and Jon Hosch assisting. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery.
Born Aug. 15, 1895, in Loco, Indian Territory, he was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. He married Pauline Powers on Aug. 3, 1931, in Frederick.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, David and Charles, both of Duncan; six daughters, Mary Jo Crotts and Barbara Rostant, both of Duncan, Wanda Champoux of Burleson, Texas, Paula Hughes of North Babylon, N.Y., Kathryn Scott of Garland, Texas, and Connie James of Meridian; a brother, Clyde Ward of Velma; 20 grand-children; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Washum, Max Foster, J.B. Cockrell, Elmer Willard, Frank Burch and Kenneth Burch.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gale McCullough, Bill Davison, Red Burch, Howard Williams, Gary Pritchard, Cleo Leonhardt, and sons-in-law.
