Lona May Simmons Wolfe, 77, formerly of Magazine St., Covington, died Thursday, January 23, 2014, at The Springs Nursing Home in Hot Springs.
Mrs. Wolfe was born May 15, 1936, at Monterey in Highland County a daughter of the late Charles and Eva Lona Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Carl T. Wolfe, in 1983, one brother, Berlie Simmons and one sister, Margaret Tomes.
She was a retired Motor Route Carrier for the Virginia Review.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce Craft of Covington; five sons, Carl"Shorty" Wolfe and his wife, Tammy ; Billy Wolfe and his wife, Debbie; Todd Wolfe and his wife, Debra ; Kenny Wolfe and his wife, Laura and Gary Wolfe, all of Covington; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one brother, William Simmons and his wife Maxine of Staunton and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be made in the Warm Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be selected from Mrs. Wolfe's grandchildren.
