When she was five years old, her father had shot himself in front of her. At that same time, she survived a cancerous tumor bout under her tongue. While she was still a young child, her mother died and she was put into fifteen different foster homes during her formative years. After finishing Crandall Business College with honors, she worked with military personnel in Georgia and Alabama. She lived much of her life in Chicago, Illinois where she worked in advertising and job placement. In the 1980s she moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she was a spiritual counselor and medium who announced predictions for each upcoming year. She ran the New Life Center on James Island and taught classes on meditation and prayer. She also offered personal consultations and was a frequent guest on television and radio shows. Her obituary was published on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in The Post and Courier of Charleston, South Carolina. Arrangements were handled by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services.
