THOMASVILLE--Mrs. Maudie Lee Gordon Myers, 88, of Light Road, died Saturday at 2 pm in Community General Hospital, where she had been a patient since last Sunday. She was born in Davidson County, August 16, 1893, a daughter of John Bethel and Martha Ann Fine Gordon. She was a life-long resident of this county. Mrs. Myers was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church and the Faithful Workers Sunday School class. She was first married to Plez Goodman, who died July 1, 1926. In 1927, she was married to Lloyd B. Myers, who survives the home. Also surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Elsie(Charlie)Gordon of Light Road; nine grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 3 pm at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church by the Rev. A.J. Rummage, the Rev. T.C. Vaughn and the Rev. C.M.Upton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
