Ross passed away peacefully on January 22, 2014.
Ross is survived by his daughter, Natalie Maestas, son, Adam DeBary and his granddaughters, Cienna Chávez, Arellana Chávez and Brooklyn Marez, brother, Daryel DeBary and his wife, Debby, sister, Rosalie Martínez and her husband, Mike, nephews and niece, D.J., Tina, Mychael, Daniel and Aaron, as well as many loving family and friends.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Moreland and Eva DeBary.
Ross served in the United States Army from June 18, 1968 through June 17, 1974. Ross was honorably discharged as Sergeant E-5. While serving in Vietnam from November 13, 1968 through August 24, 1969, he earned the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Expert (M60 MG) and Expert (Rifle).
Ross often participated in softball tournaments throughout the city and enjoyed camping, fishing and taking road trips. Ross also loved spending time with his family and keeping them on their toes.
Ross will be dearly missed.
Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Crossroads Of Albuquerque, 5200 Marble NE, Albuquerque, NM. Burial to follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM at 3:00 p.m.
