Mr. John H. Abston, age 76, of Cumming, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Rene and Roy Douglas, Cumming, GA and Mary Delores and John Sudol, Youngstown, OH; brother, Donald Ray Abston, Cleveland, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Abston was born April 23, 1935 in Rockwood, TN. He was a retired service station operator. He was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.
