Son of William D. Crawley and Elizabeth Warren. Married twice. First to Elizabeth "Bettie" Lee for whom he married December 22, 1880 in Halifax County, NC. They had two children before her death, Ezra William Crawley and Louise "Lula" Crawley. After her death, he married Martha Rosa "Mattie" Warren on January 22, 1888 in Halifax County, NC. They had nine children, Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Crawley, Sterling C. Crawley, Samuel Lawrence Crawley, Sr., George Nicholas "Nick" Crawley, Sr., Fannie Mae Crawley, Maggie Helen Crawley, Joseph Andrew Crawley, Carrie Powell Crawley, and Rosa Thedore Crawley.

NOTE: He was my great grandfather, and this is my family's photo of him and his family. There are lots of grave stones in the Harvey Cemetery without names on them, so I do not know which one marks his grave. Family members have confirmed that he was buried in the Harvey Cemetery.
