Funeral services for Russell Edgmon, 90, of Conroe will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Cashner Funeral Home, with Dr. Cliff Herrington officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2002 at the Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow at Garden Park Cemetery.
He was born January 14, 1912 in Paris, Arkansas and passed away December 14, 2002 in Conroe, Texas. Mr.Russell married his beloved Katherine, sixty-nine years ago on June 18, 1933 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a past deacon for fifteen years at First Baptist Church of Conroe.
He is preceded in death by his Sisters; Louetta, Nita, Marie and Peggy. Mr. Edgmon is survived by his wife: Katherine; daughter: Rebecca Jane Edgmon Allen and husband, Gene P. of San Antonio; son: Steve Edgmon and wife JoAnne and John Edgmon and wife Nancy, both of Conroe; sisters: Faye and Maggie; brother: Carl Edgmon and wife Jean of Carthage, TX; grandchildren: Kathy, Sharen, James, Brandi, John Wayne, Mark, and Pete Edgmond, Rebecca and Elizabeth Allen: great-grandchildren: Cameron, Brandon, Katy, Benjamin, Luke, Parker, Duncan, Fisher; and numerous other friends and relatives also survive. Mr. Edgmon's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
