William Crawford Scott 79 of Brunswick, OH passed away on March 11, 2010 in Medina. He was the son of the late William T. and Edna (nee Crawford)Scott and was born in Erie in July 5, 1930. Bill was a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He initially worked for GE and then NASA Cleveland. He returned to Cleveland in 1979 and worked for twenty years for W.L. Tanksley and Associates, now Zin Technologies, a sub-contractor for NASA. He worked on the first computer for the space program. Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 45 years Jean C. (nee Curtis)Scott: children Susan (Nate) Johnson and Alan C. (Heather) Scott of Parma: nine grandchildren: sister Lois Scott (Neil)Teufel of Erie; and nieces and nephews. Friends joined the family for a celebration gathering on Weds March 17, 2010 from 6 to 8pm at Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services Brunswick. Memorial services were held in Colorado and in Erie, PA that summer and a marker stone was placed for him in the Erie Cemetary. His favorite charities were Southern Poverty Law Center, Amnesty International, ACLU, Unicef, and The Center for Inquiry.
