FOTIADES Mary Urania Fotiades passed away Thursday, May 5, 2005. Mary Urania was born in Trikkala, Thessaly, Greece in 1912. She came to America at the age of 4 and lived in Memphis, Tenn. Mrs. Fotiades moved to New Orleans, LA when she married Harry Fotiades. She was preceded in death by: her husband, six sisters, two brothers and her son-in-law, John Poulos. Mrs. Fotiades is survived by her three daughters. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews and other beloved family and friends. Mrs. Fotiades was an oil producer and owner of two produce companies. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Ladies Philoptochos, Daughters of Penelope, Metairie Country Club, and the former Petroleum Club. Mrs. Fotiades was listed in Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in the South and Southwest. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1200 Robert E. Lee Blvd. on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Trisagion Service will be held at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Monday, May 9, 2005 at 7:00 PM with visitation to follow until 9:00 PM.
