Melanie Blanton, 41, of Charlestown, IN was relieved of her pain and suffering early Sunday morning January 5, 2014 with her family at her side.
Loving mother of Chelsea and Sarah, beloved wife of Jess, and revered sister of Melissa Grant (identical twin) and Anne Mitchell (Lamont), she left this world with the same dignity in which she lived her life.
Along with her husband, daughters and sisters, she leaves behind to mourn her passing: her adoring mother Ellen Robey, mother-in-law Helen Humphrey (Carl), Father-in-law Charlie Blanton (Tempa), son-in-law Scott Casey (Sarah), Sisters-in-laws Donna and Cindy Blanton, Brothers-in-laws Clint Humphrey and Lamont Mitchell (Anne), nieces Ashley Williams and Shayna Lewis, nephews Stephon Lewis, Jordan Lewis and Erick Grant, great nieces Heaven Williams and Sophia Williams, along with a host of cherished friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Oleta Sarah Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 pm Thursday until the time of the service.
