Joe was born on April 20, 1926 in Grand Junction, Iowa to F.G. and Nelle Bonn Caswell. A Marine, he served in WWII fighting in the South Pacific. He worked for West Electric Phone Company and the Post Office before moving to California where he worked as a stereotyper at the Redwood City Tribune and later a journeyman before retiring in 1984. He became a Christian and in the 50's a member of the Church of the Nazarene, serving in many different ministries.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Fox. He is survived by his wife Donna; daughters, Pamela, DaVonna, Cheryl, Chris and Rebecca; sons John and Mathew; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Joe's Life on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 at the Santa Clara Church of the Nazarene. Inurnment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery.
