Son of the late James & Jeanette (Van Buskirk) Uren. He was married to Alice (Curry) Uren June 28, 1935; she preceded him in death September 9, 2001.
He was a lifelong resident of the DuBois Area and a graduate of the DuBois Area High School.
He was the oldest living member of the Lakeside Methodist Church of DuBois, where he also belonged to the Hustler's Class.
Mr. Uren was a printer at the Gray Printing Company.
He enjoyed hunting and coin collecting and was an avid reader. He also collected indian artifacts.
He is survived by a son, James Uren (Boise,ID); one daughter, Carol Oswalt (DuBois); three granddaughters, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, one sister, three brothers and one stepbrother.
