The native of Rome, N.Y., was a decorated veteran with 31 1/2 years of military service, in the Army Coast Artillery (Hawaiian Islands), Army Air Corps and Air Force. He was a veteran of WORLD WAR II, KOREAN WAR and VIETNAM WAR.

After the Air Force, he retired from civil service.

He was a member of Savannah Italian Club, Italian Heritage Society, Southside Optimist Club, Savannah Elks Lodge No. 183, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.
