GREENFIELD -- Jane Helen (Billiel) Herzig, 73, of Greenfield passed away at home on Monday (1-17-11) surrounded by loving family.
Born on Oct. 29, 1937 in Greenfield, she was the daughter of Earl and Helen (Chaffee) Billiel. She was a 1955 graduate of Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls.
Jane was married on Sept. 8, 1956 in Colrain to Milton H. Herzig, who predeceased her on June 13, 2010.
She enjoyed golfing, bingo, shopping and going to lunch with friends. She especially loved time spent with her family and her beloved dog, Muffin.
Survivors include her son and daughter, and three grandchildren. She also leaves her twin brother, her sister, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband and her brother, Walter Billiel.
Funeral services for Jane will be Friday (1-21-11) at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 104 Bridge St., Shelburne Falls, followed by burial in Branch Cemetery, Colrain.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Franklin County, 329 Conway St., Suite 2, Greenfield, MA 01301 or to the charity of one's choice.
