Mr. Alexander was born in Cameron, Texas to Alonzo Alexander, Sr. and Melinda Alexander. He married Nola Walton in Brady, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Brady. Alonzo was a bridge inspector for Allen Keller Construction for 30 years. He retired in 1984. He attended St. James Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was also the neighborhood “handy man” for most of his life.Alonzo passed away in Brownwood, Texas. He is survived by his wife; three sons; five daughters; 28 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two daughters, Mary Ann Hays and Carolyn Alexander; and a son, Alonzo Alexander III.
