His name may have been Earl but to all his friends and family he was known as "Too Sweet", never was a nick name more fitting. He was known as "Uncle Too Sweet" by my children and I. He was a carpenter by trade belonging to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, at a time when this union rejected men of color. He was manager and member of Senior Citizens Gospel Ensemble in the 1980s. Uncle Too Sweet was just that a sweet and loving man who did all he could to help whenever he could. He cried with his children when their mother passed and held them close, he wasn't afraid to show tears. He was preceded in death by his first wife Cecelia, and daughters Josephine;Earline;Ruby Jean;and Brenda Lynn and brothers Lee P. Brown and Vern Brown. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Barbara and children:Rosemary;Louise;Roosevelt;Barbara Ann:Harvey;Maria; Verndell;Patricia;Earl Jr;Peter;Samuel;Donna and Melissa and his brother Rev. William Brown Sr of Twin Lake, MI.
