He was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Washington, DC, and graduated from Augusta Military Academy in Fort Defiance, VA before earning a Bachelor's degree from Catholic University in Washington. He was a project manager for Westinghouse Aerospace and served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954. His hobbies included boating, fishing, crabbing, good food, entertaining family and friends and watching the Washington Redskins.
He is survived by his wife, Lenore Vincelette Russell, whom he married July 12, 1952; six children,13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
