Richard was born in Progress, on December 15, 1926, the son of the late Walter and Lillian (Markel) Snyder.
He was a WW II US Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 1001 and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Richard enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, his five children, Robert C. Snyder, of Delray, FL, Richard M. and wife, Carol Snyder, Jr., of Chincoteague, VA, Kenneth E. and wife, Margaret Snyder, of Largo, FL, Janet and husband, George Boyer, of New Cumberland and Debra J. Snyder, of Veneta, OR, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and his sister, Faye Moore, of Harrisburg.
Services will be held on Friday, December 27 at 12:30pm in the Neumyer Funeral Home, Inc., 1334 N.2nd Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA
