Opha Elnora Hylemon Morrow entered Heaven's gates on Monday, March 2, 2020, surrounded by family in her home.

At the age of 99, and known to all as "Ninny", she lived a long and beautiful life doing what she loved the most – providing a home of comfort and stability for the many generations of her family down to the final days of her life. Ninny loved her flowers and raising a garden with her family, showing them how to prepare and preserve the harvests, knowing she was teaching them to take care of themselves when she was gone. She was an avid artist and writer, who over the many years left wonderful keepsakes of her unique sketches and witty quips to be found all around the house.

Ninny was born November 17, 1920 to William Isaac and Bertha Mae Edwards Hylemon. She was also preceded in death by her husband: John Grady Morrow; sisters: Ada Randolph, Effie Randolph and Mable Whitson; a brother: Brian Hylemon; daughters: Delane Morrow, Callie Randolph and Johnnie Austin; grandsons: William Morrow and Tommy Morrow; and great grandson: Andy Austin.

Surviving are her children: Tom Morrow, Connie Ray and husband, Bobby, Debbie Fox and husband, Roger, Michael Morrow and wife, Sharon, Mona Honeycutt and husband, Larry, and Ben Morrow and wife, Pat, all of Burnsville. Also left to cherish her memory and honor her heritage, in addition to her children, are 24 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 17 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 7PM Thursday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Bobby Ray, Robert York and Mark Randolph will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 11AM Friday in the John Morrow Family Cemetery. Steve Robinson will officiate. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7PM, Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Callie Randolph Memorial Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 190, Burnsville, NC 28714, or Compassionate Care WNC, 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
