Rev. Wayne Borders, 66, of Union Baptist Church Road, Lenoir, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Caldwell County, to the late Carl and Glenna Martin Borders.
Rev. Borders was a member and former pastor of Zack's Fork Baptist Church for 33 years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons; four sisters. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Borders.
Services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church of Lenoir, with the Rev. Neal Walker, the Rev. Lanny Winkler and the Rev. Johnny McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in Zack's Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenoir.
