Mrs. Ruby Estelle Hill, age 96, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Marshall Health Care Center in Perry, Florida. She was born in Williston, Florida, to the late Charles and Ruby Sherouse Nettles. Coming from Tifton, Georgia she had lived in Perry since 1973. She was a homemaker and attended San Pedro Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ralph Hill in 1987; a daughter, Vonda DeLoach in 2008; a son Kemple Edward Hill in 1938; and a sister, Lillie Bell Mathis in 2006.
Survived by three sons; Kermit Hill of Perry, FL, Terry Hill of Houston, TX, Gilbert Hill of Tifton, GA, four daughters; Margie Bullard of Bristol, FL, Marie Wright of Steinhatchee, FL, Sandra Forehand of Perry, FL, Reitzel Roberts of Chattahoochee, FL, one brother; Joe Nettles of Perry, FL, one sister; Grace Davenport of Spokane, WA, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 with The Rev. Dr. Lewis Bullard officiating. Interment followed at Pisgah Cemetery.
