Mrs. Ashton Dies Age 89
Mrs. Harriett (Watts) Ashton, 89, of Liberty Center, north of Valparaiso, died this morning at 6:45 o'clock at her home after a long illness.
Surviving are six children, Mrs. Blanche Cole, living at home; Mrs. Mabel Johnson of Morgan township; Mrs. Vina Pearson of Hobart; Orion Ashton, of Gary and Earl Ashton and Dale Ashton both of Valparaiso. Also surviving are a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband Marion J. Ashton and seven children preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the LaPell Funeral Home on Monroe Street, with burial in Robbins Cemetery in Portage Township.
