James Darrell Barnes, 74, of Dardanelle, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in his home.
Darrell was a truck driver, telephone lineman, and avid fisherman. He enjoyed people and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was a member and music director of the Centerville First Baptist Church for many years. He was born August 5, 1939 in Lamesa, Texas to O.D. and Edna Leona (Ham) Barnes.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Centerville First Baptist Church in Centerville, Arkansas, with Rev. Jim Whitlock officiating. Graveside service will be held at 1:00PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Ozark, with Rev. Cody Jones officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sheppard Barnes, of Dardanelle; one daughter, Cherie Kaizer, and husband, Donnie, of Enid, Oklahoma; three sons: Jay Barnes and wife, Lorie, of Dover, Arkansas, Tony Barnes of Enid, Oklahoma, and Tim Barnes and wife, Muriel, of Russellville, Arkansas; one step-son, Mike Frazier, and wife, Loretta, of Ozark, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren (Duane and Kendall Frazier); nine great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren(Austin, Bethany, and Isaac Frazier, and Alanna Contreras); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will visit with friends at 9:00AM, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Centerville First Baptist Church.
