Leon Harold Endres, 80, longtime Okmulgee County resident, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born February 7, 1933 in Henryetta to the late Joseph John and Emma Lee (Ryan) Endres. He married Evelyn Ponder on December 12, 1954 in Graham, Texas. Leon worked for the Meadowview Dairy in Okmulgee for ten years, then moving his family to Ft. Worth to work at the Foremost Dairy. Leon and Evelyn return to Oklahoma in 1973. He worked for Cooper Manufacturing, Alliance Wall and Coke before he went to work for Okmulgee County as a mechanic. Leon loved boating and fishing. He was always tinkering with something and was good at fixing most anything. His greatest love was the time he spent with his grandchildren. Leon was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of the home, daughters, Patricia Kub and husband Ed of Broken Arrow, Cathy Dixon and husband Gordon of Morris and Janet Uva and husband Tom of Twin Hills, grandchildren, Amy Parker and Russell Kub of Broken Arrow, Brad and Megan Dixon of Morris, Jon Dixon of Mazie, and Caitlin and Garrett Uva of Twin Hills, great grandchildren, Hailey Parker, Demetra, Anna Lee, Luke and Lacey Kub, a brother, Johnny Endres and wife Mary of Twin Hills and a sister, Eva May McKay of Tulsa.

A funeral service for Leon will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home Friday from 2:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in Leon's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 2448 E. 81st Street, Suite 3000, Tulsa, OK 74137. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Morris, 421 South Hughes
