Verna B. Bussard, 89, of New Kensington, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Highland Center, Brackenridge. Verna was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Clear Spring, Md., to the late Grover C. and Fannie E. McFadden Mann. She enjoyed traveling, embroidery and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Albert L. Jordan, of Florida, and Louise V. Jordan, of Maryland; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Violet G. Rice, of Maryland, and Martha B. (Nick) Kilmon, of Delaware. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Francis E. Jordan (1958); her second husband, Clinton R. Bussard (2005); a daughter, Martha M. Burd; a brother, Earl Mann; and two sisters, Catherine Wade and Ruth M. Foley. Family and friends are invited from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068, (724-335-1951), where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev.
