They emigrated to Quebec, Canada on 30 August 1620, where they had their daughter, Helene Desportes (1620 - 1675). Helene is their only child listed on PRDH.
Starting in 1627, the colonists no longer received aid from France (due to British stockades and pirates). Crops were failing and the people were starving.
Francoise, Pierre, and their daughter Helen were transported to London with Champlain, and then back to France, landing in Dieppe in November of 1629. Francoise died there three years later.
