David Bruce, a native of Scotland, died Monday at the residence of his brother-in-law, Frederick Miller, 602 Windermere Avenue, from a complication of diseases. He had been confined to his bed for about 10 months.

Mr. Bruce was 66 years old. He was born in Kirkaldy and came to this country about 45 years ago. For nearly 40 years he had been a member of Harlem Avenue Christian Church and a teacher in Sunday school. For many years he was engaged in the fruit business on Pratt Street near Light. He was a member of the Royal Arcanum, of the St. Andrew's Society, and of the Masonic Order. He was married twice, his first wife being a Miss Frazier, daughter of a Captain Frazier, and a son William Bruce, survives by this union. His second wife was Miss Annie Miller, who survives him, with one son, David Bruce, Jr. He was for a short time, fruit inspector by appointment of Mayor Hooper.
