Mr. Batman attended Shenandoah High School, graduated from Massanutten Military Academy and was a United States Navy Veteran. He owned and operated Dave Batman Motors in Shenandoah for many years. Dave enjoyed playing golf and attending auto auctions.
On January 29, 1949 he married Bette Lee Hines, who survives. Also surviving are his son, David E. Batman; his daughter, Linda B. West, both of Shenandoah; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
The Rev. Stephen Creech will be officiating the funeral service at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2013at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Interment will follow at the Methodist Cemetery in Shenandoah.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home in Elkton.
