Estelle Raikes Benningfield, age 98 of Lebanon, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at the Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home. She was born June 21, 1915 to the late Perry and Laura Albertson Raikes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Damien Benningfield; one son, Greg Benningfield; two daughters, Colleen Benningfield and Lois Williams; four brothers, Claude, Gene, Johnny, and Gilbert Raikes; and three sisters, Flossie Sample, Artie Taylor, and Nancy Raikes.

She is survived by five sons, Lynn Benningfield, Bill Benningfield, and Bernard Benningfield all of Lebanon, Joe Benningfield of St. Joe, and Damien Benningfield of Shepherdsville; three daughters, Alice Januski and Regina Buckman both of Lebanon and Paula Miles of Raywick; one sister, Juanita Payne of Ohio; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren also survive along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral mass for Estelle Raikes Benningfield will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Our Lady of the Hills Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Family requests visitation after 5:00 PM on Monday at the Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home
