William Ray Wright Sr., 90, husband of Mary Linda Gibbons-Wright, died Friday, November 22, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Wright was born September 18, 1923, in Blacksburg, SC, a son of the late William Andrew Wright and the late Julia Boheler Wright.

He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy. He retired as a superintendent after 45 years with W.R. Manchester Construction Company. He was a Baptist.

He was survived by his wife; two sons, William Ray Wright Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA, and Andrew Wright, of Unionville, VA; two daughters, Faye Johnson of VA, and Frances Meek of Florida; a sister, Libby Harding of Fredericksburg, VA; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday, November 27, 2013, in McMillan-Small Funeral Home. Graveside services were Saturday, November 30, 2013, in Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, VA.
