Oren passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 16, 2013, after a long illness.He is survived by his mother Georgia (Johnston) Abrams Poore (Doe-Doe); daughter Lana (Abrams) Cercone; sons Christopher and Glen Abrams; six grandchildren; sister Barbara; and brothers Glen and Larry.

Oren was born in Clover Bottom, Kentucky. He graduated from Madison Model High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University, both in Richmond, Kentucky.

As his alter-ego, "Dave The Hero Type Painter," Oren painted many, many homes, commercial buildings and barns throughout central Indiana. His skill with window putty and a sash brush in painting windows was truly unmatched. He had a genuine gift for painting.Oren was a wonderful athlete, excelling in baseball, football, boxing and table tennis.

Oren loved camping, fishing and all card games. He had an amazing sense of humor and dearly loved to laugh.
