MCCURRY Clemon Earl McCurry went home to be with his Lord Sunday July 7, 2013. He was born and raised in Harlan Kentucky. Earl began working at age 14. He worked various jobs through his early years. He served in the army during World War II. It was on a furlough that he met the prettiest girl he had ever seen, Margaret Gurley. They later married and had two daughters. They moved to Florida where he worked at Turner Electric Works until retiring in 1986. Earl was a man of integrity who worked hard all of his life, and was deeply devoted to his family. He enjoyed fishing, reading and talking politics. He had an ever abiding faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He always had a kind word and a smile for others. Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed by those close to him. He is predeceased by his parents Jackson and Mary McCurry, daughter Sue Swafford, and grandson Freddie Falany. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret McCurry, daughter Vivian Hewett, granddaughter Niki Mize (John), grandson Scott Falany (Shana), 5 great grand children and sister Imogene Miracle. Earl was a longtime member of Hollyford Baptist church where a memorial will be held on Thursday July 11th at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend William Kincade officiating
