Neva Fobar, 81, died Monday at her home.

Neva, the daughter of Elmer and Vida (Olsen) Holst, was born in Albany and was a lifelong resident.

Neva attended Grand Prairie Elementary School and graduated from Albany High School.

She enjoyed her home and working in her yard. She especially enjoyed her family and the time spent with them. She liked the ocean and visits to the Oregon coast. Neva also liked spending time with her dog and the family’s dogs. She had close friendships with her neighbors and enjoyed entertaining them on holidays.

Family members who survive are children Pam and Ron Dodson of Albany and Joyce Kleffner of Corvallis, and sister Vena Taylor of Corvallis. She was preceded in death by brothers Glenn and Wayne Holst, and sister Eloise Richards.

A memorial gathering will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the home of Ron and Pam Dodson, 1245 19th Ave. N.W.
