Mrs. Shirley Blitch Brinson, 83, beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. Remer Young Brinson, U.S. Army Ret., entered into rest on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at University Hospital.
Graveside services will be held in the Brinson Family Cemetery in Canoochee, GA with Rev. Dr. Michael Cash officiating.
A native of Macon, GA, Mrs. Brinson was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pierce G. Blitch, Sr. She attended Valdosta High School, Wesleyan College, and the University of Georgia. Mrs. Brinson retired from the C & S Bank with 25 years of service where she worked as a bank teller. She was a former member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brinson was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Pierce G. Blitch, Jr.; sister-in-law, Betty Lane Brinson; brother-in-law, Dolan E. Brown, Jr.; and by Helen Evans Blitch.
