Thomas Leon Wiley, 89, of Berryville, died Sunday December 22, 2002 at his home.

Mr. Wiley was born July 13, 1913 in Loudoun County, VA, the son of the late Robert and Mary Bayles Wiley. He worked as an orchardist on the Glen Orchard for 54 years.

He married Nannie Mae Wiley on April 21, 1947. Mrs. Wiley died on April 18, 2001.

He is survived by five sons, Lewis Wiley of Berryville, VA, David Wiley of Boyce, VA, Herbert Chamblin of Tennessee, Kenneth Chamblin of Winchester, VA, and Douglas Wiley, eight daughters Janice Mercer of Bluemont, VA, Sandra Everhart, Mary Broy, Carol Whitemore and Tammy McDonald all of Berryville, VA., Doris Simons and Helen Owens Borth of Winchester, VA and Shirley Crosen of Pennsylvania; two sisters Evelyn Longerbeam of Harpers Ferry, WV and Dorothy Unger of Charlestown, WV. 41 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Arhtea Anderson an dDeloras Chamblin, three brothers, Baker Wiley, Martin Wiley and Melvin Wiley, one Sister Janie Thompson and Two grandchildren. Shawn Everhart and Lilly Crosen.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2002 at Enders and Shirley Funeral Home Chapel in Berryville with Rev. Harold E. Thornton officiating.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, WV.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Omps, Denny Pitonogle, Tim Wiley, Chad Wiley, David McDonald, and Jim Conley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Baker, Michael Lenharr, Allan McWilliams and William Cross.

The family will receive friend 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday December 26, 2002 at the Funeral Home.
