COLFAX - Edward Cecil Alley, 76, of 2920 Sandy Ridge Road died Tuesday at his home.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith Grove Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Sandy Ridge Cemetery.
He was a native of Rockingham County.
Surviving are wife, Inez Smith Alley; daughters, Mary Elizabeth ``Lib' Cooper, Patricia Ann George, Martha Becky Redmon, Violet Rose Sealey, all of Colfax, Sherrill Crater of Lexington; sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Maxwell of Greensboro, Mrs. Dorothy Avant, Mrs. Betty Soyars, both of Summerfield, Mrs. Beatrice Henderson of Newport; brothers, Lionel Alley, P.G. ``Jim' Alley, Melvin Alley, Bobby Dean Alley, all of Summerfield, B.C. Alley of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren.
The family will be at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.
