Mrs. Charlotte Dee Sabback, 70, of Cross City passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, after battling multiple health issues for 23 years.
Mrs. Sabback was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee, but grew up in Cross City and graduated from Dixie County High School in 1960. She graduated from the American College with Chartered Life Underwriter and Certified Financial Planner degrees. She went to work for ING (Life of Georgia). She enjoyed sewing, Gators and Bears sports, gardening, traveling, shopping and motorcycle riding, but her passion was her family. She was very active in the lives of her children, grandchildren and the community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cross City.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, a son, two daughters, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church of Cross City on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Jim O'Hare officiated. Interment followed at Cross City Cemetery. A visitation was held Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were placed under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home of Cross City.
