Jack is one of 6 children of Thomas & Anna (née Martin) McGowan of Dublin City, Ireland.
After working in Dublin for many years Jack, like his brother Jim, emigrated to America when his job closed down. He worked on Wall Street for the Harriman Investment Company for over 10 years and then returned to Ireland. He never married.
After his return to Dublin City, he worked at the Coyle Hamilton Insurance Co. in Dublin City, retiring at 65 years of age.
Two years after his retirement, Jack passed away from cancer of the pancreas.
