Mrs. Elizabeth Quinnett Darling, 85, passed away July 15 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Scafe, 723 West Eighth Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning from the Union Home Church, northeast of Stillwater. The Rev. Isaac Hesser officiated. Burial was made in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home. Elizabeth Fox was born near Adelphi, Polk County, Iowa, August 24, 1848. At the age of 20 she was united in marriage to Francis M. Quinnett at Des Moines, Ia. Ten children were born to this union, four of whom survive. They are Rebecca E. Irvin, Stillwater; John Quinnett, De Moines Ia.; Mrs. Mary Scafe, Stillwater, and Mrs. Hattie White, of near Stillwater. Mr. Quinnett passed away at the March 2, 1923. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Isaac Hesser. She assisted her husband during his 25 years in the ministry. Other survivors are a brother, Phillip, Clayton, N.M.; 38 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great- grandchildren.
