Doma W. Cantrell, 85, husband of the late Grace Ridley Cantrell, of 590 Stamp Creek Road, Salem, SC, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

A native of Oconee County, Mr. Cantrell was the son of the late Ferber and Clara Rogers Cantrell. He was a farmer and a member of Mountain View Wesleyan Church. Mr. Cantrell served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Lewis E. Blanchett American Legion Post 124.

He is survived by sons, James D. "Jimmy" Cantrell, Liberty, S.C., Charles E. Cantrell, Salem, S.C.; daughter, Hilda C. Rogers, Salem, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Cantrell was predeceased by a brother, Ray Cantrell; and sister, Frances Towe.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at the Mountain View Wesleyan Church with burial in the church cemetery.

The body is at Davenport Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Oct. 9, 2005.

The family is at the residence of the daughter, Hilda Rogers, 590 Stamp Creek Road, Salem, SC.
